I love Hannafords. Their Grill or Oven ready tray meals are the best. I recently had to try to learn to cook. Key word, try.. I wasted food, over or under cooked it, it tasted horrible, you name it. Forget the clean up. Then I discovered these dinners. I cook my meals in my air fryer. I open the tray that the dinner comes in and throw it right in the air fryer, most for 15 minutes. They come with a seasoning butter. They sell separate trays with extra seasoned butters. I regret not getting the shrimp scampi one and next time, I will. Often, there is enough leftover for a small lunch the next day. They have a wide variety. From salmon burgers, Chicken and Steak to maple and sage rubbed pork tenderloin. They come with different vegetables. Summer vegetables, asparagus, green beans. It took me a little over a year to figure out, that cooking for one and not knowing how to cook is quite hard and was not working for me . Many times I threw my hands up and ordered take-out. Too many times and too much money. It's great to have a nice, healthy meal at home. All I have to clean up is the air fryer. I hope they never stop selling these. If you need to cook for more than one, they have larger trays, as well. Their bakery is the best. So good, I, try not to look. Their blueberry pies, cookies, muffins. I had a blueberry filled muffin from their bakery and it was everything you would hope it would be. My friends loved them. They were so good I had to share. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Grocery shopping was hard for me, prior to discovering these dinners. I always forget one item that I needed for my dinner. I, grab a bunch of these and they freeze very well.

Hannaford's has a great selection of produce, fresh herbs, cheese, and a large bakery section. They have a good variety in products and decent prices. The pharmacy is small, but the pharmacists and techs are very nice and extremely helpful.

We've been shopping here for years and it's our go to grocery store. I wanted to write a review specifically for the employees who run the Hannaford to go. They are all so friendly and awesome. They work hard in all kinds of weather conditions and still come out to your car with a positive attitude. I hope they know it doesn't go unnoticed. You have a fine group of individuals who know how to greet and interact with your customers (employees inside the store as well).

I truly love and appreciate this Hannaford in Derry! I was with my 3 yr old grandson when I had to run to the store to pick up some dog food. Quick trip, I rang up my own order as I only had a couple of items. The staff is always friendly and say hello when they see you. TODAY, one of them went far above their normal duties. You see after I rang up my items and was heading out the door (of course stopping at the gum ball machine for the grand baby)I came to find out that I had locked my keys in my car. It was 530pm and starting to get dark. Thank god it was actually a nice fall night around 57 so we weren't cold as I tried to figure out next steps. I decided to go back into the store for some help as I also left my phone in the car and had no phone numbers I could remember. I was so focused on time with my grandson, I apparently lost my other senses. It happens lol. Anyway, back to the story: So I went in and spoke to a tall young man (don't recall his name :(, Victoria and Finn at customer service. Finn was helpful also but had to get back to the register area along with the young man. VICTORIA: This young lady : ) She offered me her AAA card, but it wasn't her actual account so that didn't work. Then she called a few taxi's slash Uber's but we had to download the app and sign up. I wasn't comfortable doing that on her phone. We even tried Facebook but you have to be friends with someone to contact them lol. Meanwhile, another staff member and Victoria were giving my grandson stickers. Told you, I love this store. Victoria had offered to call the Derry PD (about a 1/2 hr into my ordeal), but I wasn't sure they could help. However, after almost 2 hours of gettin no-where, we finally called the Derry PD who came with the Derry FD. They came out and had me in my car in 10 minutes. My point to telling all this is because everyone complains about the younger generation (I'm fabulous 55) and how they don't want to work or help. This store puts those stereo types to shame

I typically don’t review grocery stores because I feel they’re pretty much the same. However, Hannaford Derry proved to be an upgrade from my day-to-day grocer (Market Basket). I like how welcoming the space feels, the lighting is soft, they have a feature spot for local produce and a great variety of products. Additionally, their staff is the most helpful I’ve encountered in my area. For reference, I had been a customer at MB for years and not once had anyone offered assistance. On the other hand, during my first week trying out Hannaford, while I was picking up a specific brand of milk, an associate approached me and asked how I liked that brand. I said it was great and we use it a lot. He proceeded to give me a discount sticker on this milk carton. I have also tried their pick up service and encountered the same level of above and beyond customer service. I called one hour earlier than my scheduled pick up (without any expectation) just to see if it was possible to pick it up earlier since my husband was nearby. They said yes absolutely he could, my order was ready. Then at the deli counter I briefly mentioned I only needed a small amount of cheese because I was leaving on vacation later that week. When I was handed my deli products, the associate remembered and wished me a nice vacation. Needles to say they’re now my default grocery store. Keep up the good work Hannaford.

I don't usually shop at Hannaford because of their high prices. I was in the area, someone asked me to stop specifically at Hannaford and I had a coupon. When I entered, I was impressed by the size of the store and selection of products. This Hannaford reminded me of the one in Manchester and the one in York, Maine. High ceilings, plenty of space to move around, large produce section and multiple self checkout registers. I liked the variety of prices at the meat department. The bakery 🧁 is about the same size as other Hannaford's but there is more room to move and a bigger selection. Chips has its own large selection in one corner of the store. There are several isles of chips and similar snacks. I noticed a RedBOX BOX near the entrance. Large parking 🅿️ lot. They need to shovel the snow ❄️ out the carriage corrals. They have an online grocery service. Prepared foods and meals to go. Update: July 2024; The Vegetarian Egg 🥚 Rolls were good. If I have coupons and I am in the area, I'll stop by again. I recommend this Hannaford.
